last minute question that determines if i apply

i love nyu, and i def. wanna go there, but with all the commotion about little aid coming from the school, i've doubted my decision

my parents fall into middle class - enough to not get any need-based aid, not enough to sacrifice 50K a year.

my only chance of attending, is if i get some merit aid.. now i read on their website that CAS does give some non-need based aid, what i need to know, is if that theres a chance i might get some. I did not achieve national merit so that specific scholarship does not fit. can anyone give me some HONEST feedback about the others, such as trustee, etc. i have to submit the application soon, and if the honest answer is no, i just wont apply, as i have already applied to 12 other schools, and the application costs are insanely high, thanks ahead of time.

Thank you

You won't know if they'll give you merit-based aid until you apply. You have decent numbers, so you might get something. Give it a shot - all you have to lose is the application fee.
