<p>Hey guys I was wondering if I change my room preferences now will this affect whether or not i get middle earth or mesa? I'm contemplating on whether or not I should have my first choice as the engineering theme hall. I'm thinking about switching it with my 2nd as general interests. Will this affect what if get even if i have until August to change?</p>

<p>you can mess around with your preferences until august 3rd. they won’t start assigning rooms until then.</p>
<p>they made us fill it out ahead of time so they get an idea of how many people are dorming. </p>
<p>you can change majors by logging on to your “myadmissions” page or at SPOP. i changed mine online.</p>
