Last Orientation Session...

I am heading to the last orientation session and my parents are wondering what they do for the three days. I'm coming in from OOS and since I had to go to a wedding anyway, my parents decided to come to orientation as well.

I'm also wondering if there is any important documents I am supposed to bring with me.

Thanks alot for the help.

For the documents, you don't need to bring your AP scores and SAT scores, because your counselor will give you a Degree Progress Report, which tracks what requirements/ entry-level stuff you have already fulfilled. You should bring your Bruincard if you have already received it. Otherwise, I think that's all. Your orientation counselor will provide you with a General Catalog, Degree Planner, and a list of GEs to look over.

Orientation lasts for three days. The last day is for parents as well and they will be busy from 7:30 am - 6:00pm (Are they registered for the family orientation?). LA is a great city to visit. There's the beach, great reataurants, Beverly Hills, and plenty of museums and tourist attractions like Universal Studios and such. The Getty Museum is very close high on a hill over the 405 freeway. Most people would have no problem keeping themselves busy in LA for 2 days. Have them do a little research and I'm sure they will be fine.

Yeah they are registered for the family orientation (I think, since we payed around three hundred for orientation), so I was wondering what they do for the three days.

See my previous post for what your parents can do for 2 days. The third day of your orientation will be the day they attend parent activities all day. I think the parent orientation was an additional $60 per person over and above the $350 or so for students so make sure they are registered. They should have a confirmation sheet that they will show at check-in at 7:45 am the third day. I am sure they can find plenty to occupy themselves the other 2 days.

Thanks for the help.
