Here is what I am taking next year. Please tell me if these courses are good...

1) Math 12
2) English Lit. Focus 12
3) Gym 12 (eww)
4) World Issues 12
5) Western Civ 12
6) Band
7) Spanish
8) Wind Ensemble
9) Art
10) AP Psychology
11) Biology 12

Are these courses "challenging enough"?

they are not challenging enough to get admission to a USNWR top 40 college. i see that you are in AP Psych. Can you bump any of your other courses up to AP like Western Civ or English.
However, I see your location and I am not positive about the education system in Canada.
Generally, are you taking the highest level of courses offered to you at your high school?

Whoa!! You can fit 11 classes in one day? I wish we could do that.

Well this schedule doesn't look THAT rigorous...did you have a lot of APs sophomore and junior year? If so then dont' worry about it, but if not, you should take some more for senior year.

well the thing is my school does not offer any APs... other than English and Psychology. It does offer University of Winnipeg Chem and Calculus. However, I do not like Chem and Calculus.

So am I still in trouble?

Oh, well if your school has limited APs then there is nothing you can do about it. You're fine.

Okay. Phew. thanks
But should I really take AP English? It doens't really interest me... and in order to take AP English, I need to take grade 12 english first. and i'd rather take something i like...

it doesn't matter that you don't like calculus...top us colleges will expect you to have completed the highest level of math at your school. period. suffer through it, its just one year.
