Are they really that bad?? What are the chances that only two people end up in a room because the third changes their mind about living in dorms??

It’s like 180 square feet for 3 people. If that’s cool with you, and you don’t mind sharing personal space with 2 other people… then it’s not that bad.

It is pretty cramped however. At the prices they end up charging, i’d rather get a condo style apartment right off campus, especially if you plan on doing summer. I’m living a 10 minute (tops) bike ride away for $350-400ish, with 1000 sq ft between 2 people.

Obviously, this type of room wouldn’t be my first choice; however, it seems as though that’s what I’m going to have to deal with. I think I can manage just fine. I just hope it won’t be as terrible as everyone makes it out to be.

Come spring semester, most of the late app triples are reduced to doubles because people flunk out and leave or transfer.

you don’t even have to wait an entire semester to get detripled. I put in my request for a room change a couple days after they started, and within a week, they gave me the choice of moving to an open room in another dorm, or an open room on my same floor.

But, I only changed rooms because I didn’t like the people in mine(they were extremely messy). I would have been completely fine staying in a late triple if it weren’t for that. I definitely had enough room for all of my clothes, and it really wasn’t as cramped as you would think.

I stayed in a triple at Jennings for Preview, and it was a lot bigger than I thought it was going be. I’m not too worried anymore :D

Basically its a two person dorm used for three students…lol my cousin whom has a late application triple last fall said its great if you have great roommates. Almost like a sleepover every night.
