Late arrival, not taking a full schedule senior year

It's my senior year and I've upped my course load
1st semester im taking 3 ap classes and then second semester im taking 4.
I was wondering if colleges will revoke your spot if you don't have a full schedule second semester. For example, in my case I'm going to be taking 5 hard classes and just want to take a late arrival 1st period of second semester because there is really no other challenging class I can take, and I don't want to take some bs elective class full of busy work.

Have any of you done this and gotten in to selective schools?

On your apps you will probably have to list what your senior schedule will look like. So, if they accept you based on what you put, it better be what you actually did.

I don't know the answer to your question but my d's situation is similar. She's taking 4 APs this year (one is a double period) and that's it. She's continuing with her ECs--team captainship, science-related volunteering, community service and working to save for college. We don't think this will hurt her chances much (but her top choice is our flagship state university and her stats are very much within range.) You might want to put a positive spin on your schedule by emphasizing what you're doing in addition to school.
