Late email from Harvard records room??!

Sorry for the excessive punctuation, but I just freaked out when I saw an email from Harvard sitting in my inbox and couldn't contain it. Just a tad jumpy for Thursday...

Anyhow, as the subject line says, I just received and email from the "Records Room Staff" confirming that they received my update, sent to them on March 19th. This is the second time my update was cut off, due to their character limit, so the email itself isn't news to me (just confirming that my update will be printed and added to my application), but the fact that it was sent just now puzzles me.

Several things come to mind: the message is automated and the system's been backed up until now, or the message is sent manually, but then I ask myself, "Why did they even bother to send it if committee has been over for a week now?"

I'm not worried that they received it in time, since I also faxed in the update that same day, but I am wondering if this says anything about a possible acceptance or rejection.

My rational guess is that it's automated and means nothing. Any ideas guys??

Yeah, I wondered the same thing… my update was sent on Saturday and I just got an email saying it was received, printed, and put in my file.
My guess is it means nothing.

It’s automated. So, most likely a backed-up system.
