Late FAFSA... NYU Financial Aid?

I was recently accepted to NYU Steinhardt for graduate school. Although I would love to attend, financial aid will play a significant role in my decision. I submitted my FAFSA on January 31st, but it was not processed until February 2nd. The priority deadline for having the FAFSA processed and received by NYU was February 1st! Does anyone know if this one day will greatly reduce my chances of receiving certain types of aid?

I would absolutely call financial aid office first thing in the morning and speak with an officer and tell them you filed Jan 31 and even though it processed Feb 2 you are interested in FA. It never hurts to try, also I would reinforce your interest in attending the school.
Just curious as to why you didn’t notify them sooner?

The date of submission of FAFSA is the key date.

You should give a call to the NYU Steinhardt Graduate Admissions office:

They should be able to give you some answers and help you out.

I spoke with financial aid and admissions and I was told that it shouldn’t be a problem if it was in by early February. Thanks for the replies; I appreciate the advice!
