Late FAFSA

I posted this in the FA & Scholarships, but I think I would get better suggestions/responses here.

I was recently accepted to Uconn (2-3 weeks ago) as a transfer for the 2010 Fall semester, but I'm not sure whether or not I will be getting aid.

I filled out the FAFSA for the school I attend now (WCSU) before the deadline, but I did not add Uconn as one of the schools to receive my application because I didn't know if I was going to be accepted or rejected.

I called the Uconn financial aid office and they told me I am possibly still eligible for financial aid, but I most likely won't receive any grants due to it being sent in past their deadline.

Is it worth going if I have to take out a substantial amount of private loans just to satisfy one year's tuition & room/board fees? What if I don't get any aid?

Any advice is welcome.

It really depends on your financial situation. If you can do it and you want to go to UConn, then go. If not, then go elsewhere, and transfer in if you would still like to attend.
