late housing application

So, I did not know that I had to apply for housing early, early on in the application process, and I had just sent mine in yesterday... : yea..

Does anyone on here have any idea what's the possible consequences? Lol. Like, possible dorm places for late people like me or would I not even get a dorm?

Thanks!

Pretty sure there are still some spots open. If you want to make sure you get a spot you can try to find a roommate who paid the $50 earlier.

When I took a tour, an RA told us that if you do find a roommate who paid the deposit like say back in November or something, you move up on the housing list along with that roommate, so there’s still hope!

how do i find a roommate? and how do i let ut know about my roommate?
sorry, I’m really clueless about these. Thank you so much for your replies! [:

You’ll still be able to get on-campus housing if you apply now. You’ll just get whatever dorm is left after everyone else chooses. Most likely, you’ll end up in Jester.

If you don’t want to live in Jester, you should look at the Castilian and Dobie, right off-campus. They still have spaces available. I personally will be living at the Castilian next year as a freshman because of the same situation.

Thanks wavylays94. Do you know when do we…or, they get to choose? lol

They state their dorm preferences in the summer

thanks! [:

If I choose to live in the apartment, how does the roommate thing work? Do I need to find a roommate myself or do they match people? Also, do I need to fill out a different housing app for apartment? (most likely Castillian) Thanks!

The Castillian is not an apartment; It is a private dorm. They assign roommates.

4khaos,

hahahah sorry, that’s what I meant. Thanks!
