My teacher still hasn't submitted it yet.... I gave her more than a month as well as others and she hasn't done any recommendations for anyone. I doubt she forgot, because she is an experienced teacher and I would have never expected her to do them all in the last weekend available (unless she has them written but not submitted?).

But in the case that she forgets and I have to remind her on Monday (the 1st) and she rushes them all in, it should be okay right?

What would happen if something REALLY unfortunate happened and I couldn't talk to her on Monday?
Would I still qualify for EA or are they really strict about having EVERYTHING in? Gosh, I should have reminded her on Friday. Now, I have to wait until it is either submitted or until Monday when I speak to her and ask why there's nothing written.

definitely remind her on monday! but, if worse comes to worst, call the admissions office or an admissions counselor and see if you can talk to them and make them understand your situation. and also ask about the EA situation, if they sympathize with you, you might have a chance

funny enough, i’m in the same situation as you. i asked my french teacher (who also happens to be teaching for many many years and knew perfectly well that i was applying ea) and sent her the commonapp email in september (!) yet she still hasn’t finished yet. sometimes this kind of thing makes you loose hope in adults, no?

so, still nothing… is it okay if they submit tomorrow? they have until 11.59.99 PM right, lol?

i think you’ll be fine if it’s submitted tmrw

OP, tell her this story – I know a well-qualified student whose recommendation was not submitted by Nov. 1st last year. He was put into the RD pool, and only admitted at the 11th hour (end of April) and ended up going somewhere else b/c at that point he didn’t know his fin aid situation, etc…

So find her and ask her to submit online today. Or get a different teacher to do it : TODAY! This is why I tell students to get 3 teacher reccs instead of 2 – to avoid problems like this.

^^ I only asked for one. :(

Apparently, she’s been working on them and is submitting them today.

Then I will keep my fingers crossed for you!

Thanks! She got it in like a few minutes ago. PHEW. Thanks for all the support! Good luck everyone :)
