i got an e-mail last week saying that my app. was complete and that it would take longer for a decision b/c of the high volume of apps.
does anyone no how much longer. i mean 12-14 weeks is what umich says, so if its gonna take longer, is it goin to be like 20 weeks?
my app was complete 10/21

I am wondering the same thing.
I think I got the same email you did.
my app was completed on october 25
I thought I was the only one that didn't get any decisions, people from my school that sent in the app in oct either got accepted or deferred.
I was wondering if this had something to do with the fact that my residency status changed 2weeks ago from oos to instate.
I guess not...

gudana, how was your residency changed from oos to in-state?

If there is any question about residency, such as a student has transcripts from an out-of-state school, they often default the app to non-resident. The student can supply additional paperwork to show that they are, indeed, a resident, and the app will be changed.

Through the year a lot of nonresident apps become resident apps as these things are processed.

I turned in all the paperworks that they requested and about 10 weeks later I got a letter that they changed my residency status...
That's about it...

My application was received December 8 and my file was complete within a week or so. I haven't heard anything yet: no emails, no deferal, no rejection, no acceptance, no phone calls, etc. I'm in-state, 4.0, 27 ACT, most difficult classes my school offers, so-so ECs, excellent recs and essays. How long do you guys suppose I may have to wait?

I got this email on 1/16, my app was complete on 10/26. I am out of state and just got my decision on friday (accepted). So i got this email and found out a week later. Weird.
