I've always wanted to take Latin and for some reason, I have this insane desire to take it online on Florida Virtual School. I've already finished my foreign language (IB Spanish for 3 years and tested out last year), so will colleges look at my transcript and wonder what I was doing in an online Latin class?

I'm already taking two additional courses than a "regular" senior course load as well (AP Art History and a Math course at the community college).

Yeah, they will, unless you really show interest in it and want to take it at college too.
On the transcript it might look like you’re slacking on your senior year.

As I mentioned, I am taking two additional courses with the senior course load for an IB candidate, so, in total, with the IB courses, my extra AP courses, my dual enrollment course and my Latin 1 class, I really doubt colleges will think I’m slacking off.

I wanted to make sure it wouldn’t be an anchor to my high school transcript. I know people are adamant about “not taking introductory courses” senior year.

Perhaps it’s more of the other electives - Food Prep 1, Chorus 1 - that college admissions know are easy. I think I’m going to take Latin, though, because I really am interested in it.

No. I’m in IB. My school has a policy in that if a student passes IB, they do not need to fulfill the regular x amount of credits in electives, economics, history, gym, etc.
