I'm a high school senior, and I'm planning on majoring in Law. One of the UC's that I'm applying to is UCSD. I wanted to know which of the 6 colleges is the best to pick as my #1, 2, 3 etc choice when sending in my application. Please help me if you have any idea.

Law as in becoming a lawyer? You can major in anything, really - you apply to Law school after finishing your undergrad. Take a look at the pre-law forum.

:)

Check that out. Some are more rigorous with requirements, or have certain foci. Some say the "Honors college" is more respected, but getting a higher gpa by taking fewer requirements and more classes you're interested in could be another alternative. Then again, maybe you want to be with the higher achievers, causing you to do better. There are other threads about which college to pick, so check those out, but you could major in any subject and go to any college as preparation for law school.

UCSD seemes to be a science/math school.. how are its international relations program and other politics related majors? Which college is best for students studying politics?

thanks :)

tk101092,

UCSD has a top-ten poli sci program, and its IR program is top notch.

Don't worry about that.

thanks for your answer UCLAri !

do you have a suggestion for me concerning the ranking of the 6 different colleges?

also, will the ranking affect my chance of getting in? lets just say i want to apply for college X but many people are competing for it. will my chance of acceptance decrease because of it?

Unfortunately, I know very little about the college system at UCSD, other than the fact that it's cool.

Sorry.
