I'm going to use that new Fly Away shuttle to go home for thanksgiving. Anyone use it before? Is it fast? Long walk from campus? Is it easy to identify from the street( I have a tendency to get lost very easily)

google the flyway shuttle for westwood and it will have all the instructions you need. It will get you to LAX pretty fast depending on the freeway traffic.

When you take the flyaway shuttle coming back to westwood, make you to ask every flyaway shuttle drover that comes by the terminal if they are going to westwood. Some of the shuttles are not marked very well and they tend to just stop for a split second, and leave if they see no one coming up to the bus.

I think I saw a sign at the front desk that says that there will be a free shuttle going from the dorms to the flyaway bus on Wednesday and stuff.
Might want to check that out.

A free shuttle would be nice, but I'm not really looking forward to packed Flyaways on wednesday. Or the airport. UGH.

Kalasin, which front desk would that be? And do you know anything else about it?

De Neve's front desk.

I just checked it out right now, and it's leaving every 30 minutes on Wednesday (11/21) from 7AM to 7PM and on Sunday (11/25) from 2PM to 10PM.

Thanks Kalasin!

Free UCLA Shuttle to LAX
Wed. Nov. 21: 7am-7pm
Pick up: Rieber stop sign, Hedrick turnaround, Covel Steps, De Neve stop signs

to the OP- yes it's very easy to use. and it's a huge bus so it shouldn't be full, although this is the first thanksgiving it's been available so no telling for certain.

all you gotta do is walk down gayley and turn right on kinross to get to parking structure 32. there's a bus stop with signs on it there. and when you're at the airport, you follow the flyaway signs (get there BEFORE 30 minutes past the hour) and look for the one with westwood painted on the side. driver will step off and shout westwood, but, if you don't get a move on right away (like zer0 said) it'll take off without you.

but it beats supershuttle by a LONG shot, unless you've got a ton of luggage. suck it up and save $11 lol!

will the shuttle be available for free on thursday?!
