LBW at Wharton 2011

Welll....hey guys
anyone applying?

I had to start one cuz there were no threads lol

I am considering the program along with a bunch of other things. Do any alumni have anything to say about it and/or the application?

im applying. few questions…will it be fun or like all class? i dont mind class, but i want a some fun. any sports? thanks.

Hey guys! I’m thinking about applying. What are your stats? What do you think the typical stats of an accepted student are? Thanks!

Does anyone know about the Sports Management version of LBW? new this summer i think. anyone applying??

i think its for people who want to be sports agents and like executives for pro sport teams. and does anyone know anymore info about LBW?

yes,
lbw is very selective and held at Penn in philly and at wharton’s SF campus, 60 on each campus and both groups (120) back at Penn for the last week. i’ve heard nothing but rave reviews and know that the academics are excellent and the social is great as well

Hey, how many applicants are there usually for the program? Also, is it ok if one does not send in his/her SAT,ACT, or PSAT scores. Does not sending that in out one at a disadvantage?

i think 40 percent accepted. not 100 percent sure, like 70

Hey Guys,

I attended LBW last year (2010) in Philly.
It was a fantastic programme.
If you are interested in business it is the best programme you can attend.

The kids you met were pretty brilliant. Also it was quite thrilling for me to attend lectures from Wharton professors and truly succesful business guys …!
We simulated the stock exchange and as a major project had the business plan competiiton !!
Amazing stuff …

I can onlz recommend it !!
Plus the Head RTA Brian park (my RTA last year) is a great guy …

so apply its def. worth it !!

do we have a lot of free time? and what can we do during free time? also, are there any sports?

I applied to the program a few weeks ago…What’s the competition like?

192 on psats, how much will that hurt my admissions?

i heard the grades wont make or break admission. a lot depends on EC’s and leadership

can we have 3 recommendations?

@ lebronheat2
You can contact them about adding another recommendation, but I think that’d be a little redundant…
just my opinion tho

ok so 2 weeks until deadline =)
anyone else applying besides us…4…err…5?

i dont know! i hope there aren’t a lot of people applying because i’m dying to go! i heard the average psat/act score is like 2000 so i don’t think that’d hurt you very much. also by looking at previous threads, people with 2300s got rejected while peoples with much lower scores got in so i think it’s all up in the air.

do you guys know about any other business programs?
i need a backup plan just in case.
thhankkkkss

you can always look for programs at other colleges that offer economics/finance classes. idk about any other ones that are specifically tailored to business.

okay thanks. you know anymore about getting accepted? like if grades matter a lot? ECs? etc.
