I called Laguna College of Art and Design back in October, and they confirmed they've received all of my things. And yet, here I am in December, still eagerly awaiting their decision.

To anyone who's been accepted to LCAD, how long did it take to hear from them? I was accepted at Savannah College of Art and Design literally one week after sending in my transcript, portfolio, letters, etc. I have a 3.7 unweighted and 4.4 weighted GPA.

Hi Gingercatting,
My dd applied to Laguna in December, and after talking with her advisor, just received an email from him that they would be looking at applications a couple of weeks from now, then sending out decisions a week or two later. Funny, since they are rolling admissions. Guess that is changing a bit. Best wishes!
DS applied to many Graphic Design programs at several UC’s & Cal States. He also applied to LCAD after his AP 2D Design teacher mentioned the school and I read some info here. He was accepted to 8 of 9 places he applied, but after visiting at LCAD’s Open House he had mostly made his decision. Just this week, I am happy to say he sent off his signed intent letter! I realize this thread is 2 years old, but is there anyone else here on CC that has been accepted? Or is currently attending?
I was accepted for Fall 2016 in Graphic Design as well. I won’t be going, unfortunately, but I was accepted very quickly. Their staff is probably the most friendly I’ve ever worked with!
My application process was very drawn out. I sent in the initial application in September, I think with just my basic info. I sent in my transcript, test scores etc over the next few months. Probably in December I emailed my admissions counselor for feedback on my portfolio. In January I met him in person at NPD and had him look at my portfolio again. A few weeks later, I submitted my final portfolio and my essays and finished my complete application. I think I submitted on a Sunday night and I literally got my acceptance and scholarship info Wednesday at noon, lol.
So yeah, they had a really quick turnaround but they’d probably already looked through my file before I submitted my final portfolio so maybe that’s why.
