Leadership?

<p>I was wondering how much having/not having a school leadership roles affects the way adcomms for all these progs look at you. I have TONS of ec's and comm. service along with great stats, but most of the EC's are from things outside of school. </p>

<p>However, i have no leadership position at school, because the few positions the school has are all student-elected, so its usually the most popular people that are elected rather than the most capable ones.</p>

<p>...So, basically does anyone know how much not having leadership can affect someone's app?</p>

<p>Colleges love to see leadership roles. But with said, not having them wouldn't preclude you at all from admission. The most important thing, by far, is dedication. If you can prove to them you have that, then you're more than set. Leadership just proves dedication to the activity. Don't let them thing you're in the club just to have an eighth activity on your resume. </p>
