Leading non-audition schools

My D is working on her list of schools to apply to. In looking around at the ones in our general area, we ran across Avila. I was not familiar with that an a search of this site did not come up with much. Does anyone have any input regarding Avila University? I know its a private university, Catholic, and has a BFA in MT. That's about it.

Anyone living in the New England area should consider Rhode Island College. It's in Providence RI where there is a thriving arts community. It offers a BA in theatre with MT concentration. You can all the core classes as the regular theatre majors, along with several dance and voice classes mixed in. They do mostly straight plays through out the year, but do a big musical in the spring semester. The theatre, dance and music dept are a joint department, so many theatre majors study voice with music faculty, and dance with the dance faculty. They also have auditions for talent scholarship, and they often give lots of money to new faces. I got nearly full tuition based on my 4 minute audition. it's a place to consider!
