i'd never major in business, engineering, comp sci, architecture, anything health-related, or elementary education.

I forgot about business. I'd never major in business too. On a side note, man, I hate real estate agents just because they can make SO MUCH money with SO LITTLE education.

Don't hate the player, hate the game yo. (not that I'm in real estate).

I couldn't really imagine myself majoring in anything but my current major. It made the whole decision very easy.

real estate is a tough business. it requires a lot of people skills that can't really be taught in school.

I would never major in physics. There is no way on earth that I would be able to understand any of it, as I currently am a hopeless case in that area; it is too far over my head.

Others in which I would never major: business or any major not "basic" (nursing, pre-law, pre-dental, etc.), and anything that contains the word "studies" (save for Classical Studies)

Um..lets see.... Absolutely no to math, science, English, business, education. Fine arts would be fun, but that would require some sort of artistic ability on my part (HAHAHAHAHA). Foreign languages might be fun, but I can't speak anything beyond como esta. Which leaves social science (And journalism, my major, of course :))

I could never major in business. My grandfather owned restaurants for over 50 years and he never went to college. I think knowing your subject (whether it be oil/petrol engineering or how to make mittens and cookies) is more important than how to have a good HR department. I mean, good business skills are important, but you can learn those from work. Go to school and learn how to make a good product, not a good sale. If what you have to give is good, people will want it. I also kind of hate how all prospective business majors (from my hs anyways) think they are going to be the next CEO of a huge company. Sounds naive to me.

I don't think I would ever major in math or science either. Medicine maybe, but you can get into med school with an arts degree now (and some basic sci prereqs obviously). But engineering? Pure math? Nuclear physics? I respect it, but I couldn't do it.

Social sciences and humanities are my thing. :) I registered for my first year of university, and I have philosophy, history, english, econ, poli, and french in my timetable. I'm planning to eventually major in poli sci/international relations. It's sweet.

Never business, hard sciences, math or engineering. I'm deciding between performing arts, nursing and psych/phil.

Never would I major inanything math, science, or business realted. Pretty much anything that isn't a social science or journalism is out.

damn. all these people hating on business. lol. i thought business was one of the most popular majors. what's wrong with business? lol.

There's nothing wrong with business. It's among the best major that'll bring in big $$$. That's why I hate it though, lol, or rather I'm jealous. As an engineering major, I'm studying a lot more than my business major friends but they'll be making more money than me in the future. It's all good though, I like my major. I can't have my cake and eat it too right?

But them real estate agents, man they make big bucks. I have a cousing who graduated (I think) in bioengineering another cousin who graduated in nursing. And they are now doing real estate, lol.

English - I haven't read an entire school-assigned book since sophomore year (although i've read bits and pieces of some of them), yeah, and I got into a lot of good schools
History - There's too much to remember
Foreign Language - see above comment
Art - Yeah, the only guy that comes to mind is Picasso
Education - Hello? You think I want to be near a school ever again?
Medical Fields - Ewwwww, I hate blood, insides, surgery
Sciences - Consistently my 2nd worst subject in high school

i would rather not go to college than major in computerish things
or chem
or accounting
or math
or medicine
or business
or anything practical at all ;-)

anything in science since i would have a GPA below a 2.0 and probably not graduate within 9 years

english- never never ever
medical field- My whole family is in medicine, and I would hate following the herd ( besides I suck at bio and chem so that was the end for me)
computerish stuff- I hate computers ( well like the programming side of computers)
biology- hate it
chemistry- suck at it
accounting
philosophy

Oh yeah, accounting, that is a pain in the rear end. Add that to my list.

I would never major (or even take courses) in anything to do with computer science, engineering, mathematics, hard sciences like physics or chemistry or biology, or accounting/finance. First of all, I have no personal interest in them. Secondly, because of that, I suck at them.

I am a traditional liberal arts man all the way -- Classics and philosophy -- and proud of it. To those who say that these are not practical or realistic fields of study, I say hogwash. At the end of the day I'll have several avenues to explore -- teacher's college, librarian school, grad school, law school, seminary -- and will have arguably the best preparation for any of them.
