Leave of absence after transferring?

Hello. These might be ridiculous questions..but i had to know for sure.

Is it possible to take a leave of absence after transferring to UCLA..like right away? (Ex. I applied for Fall 2012. Got accepted...but take a leave of absence starting from that Fall semester)

Which would be better? Taking a leave of absence after transferring? or while attending CC? I'm almost done with my pre req and classes...just have one more semester worth of classes left..and was planning to transfer...but yea.......... (This is due to financial problems)

You really need to call or email the UCLA admission office. It’s normally called “deferring”, not a leave of absence, but whatever this is a question only UCLA admission can answer.

ohhhh icic. okay thank you for replying! :)

No, they will instruct you to apply for the next Fall semester instead. You need to have completed a semester before you can take a leave of absence.

Neither leave of absence will matter much provided you have a legitimate reason for it. I personally think it would be much easier to do in CC seeing as how your request can potentially be rejected on the UC level.

oh really? =( Thank you for clarifying that out.

so i guess it is true…that my request can easily get rejected T-T

Thank you for ur response! I really appreciate it :)
