classes at UCLA after transfer

<p>Hello.
I was admitted into Fall 2012 as a transfer applicant in Cognitive Science.
I wanted to know what kind of classes (not for the major) are available for me to take for my first quarter. (ex. foreign language..etc.)
I know that I can register for classes at the orientation...but just wanted heads up.</p>

<p>My plan is to attend the 1st quarter and apply leave of absence for few quarters due to financial issues. Is it possible NOT to take the pre req courses (still have two left) during my 1st quarter? After I apply leave of absence, I am planning to attend cc to finish pre reqs while working full time.</p>

<p>Can’t you take your pre-reqs during this summer? I don’t know if UCLA will grant you a leave of absence. Explain your situation to them, whatever it is, and see what they say.</p>

<p>i thought anyone could apply for leave of absence as long as she/he has gpa of 3.0 or above…0.0</p>
