LEDA 2016

No i haven’t gotten an interview i was just curious to see if anyone else got one
Also, can I be part of questbridge and leda if i get accepted into both

Also, I was just curious and wanted to know if leda is a program for just minorities or is it for everyone?

LEDA is for everyone. From a past scholar, LEDA does not allow one to do both its program and Questbridge, since both of them are very similar.

How would LEDA know @confusedcontent and why didn’t they say so. You don’t necessarily have to go to a summer program for quest bridge, but there are options. If I get in and I just tell them I don’t want to go, why can’t I remain a quest bridge and LEDA scholar.

Since both of them are very similar programs, utilizing both is an avaricious act. You are depleting all the resources and not are thinking about other kids who do not know about LEDA. Why would LEDA, an equitable program, allow you to do such a thing? Furthermore, you just said that you would choose to lie to LEDA just so you can enjoy the benefits of both programs. @Ahmeda14960

I want to clarify that I did not mean to say that I would lie, I meant to say that they wouldn’t know because you can just tell Questbridge that you don’t want to go to their summer programs and I am sorry for sounding dishonest. However, I am not greedy. Questbridge is due in March and LEDA results come out in April. What if I end up getting rejected from both? And by the way, you don’t get anything out of the Quesbridge summer programs if you simply tell them you don’t want to go to any programs during the summer, which I did. @ConfusedContent

@confusedcontent I am sorry for saying it like that. I meant to say that it wouldn’t matter because I wouldn’t be going to anything over the summer with quest bridge, and I want to clarify I am not dishonest. With that being said, I am applying to both because I will probably get rejected by one if not both. The way I see it, LEDA accepts us in April, and you have to apply to Questbridge by March 23rd, so if I get into LEDA and later get into Questbridge, It’ll be too late because they would have already decided. I also chose not to go to any Questbridge summer thing and that is all there is, so if I get in I won’t be taking an opportunity from anyone who wanted to go to as Questbridge summer program, as they prioritize those applicants, so if they want someone to go to a summer program, they will pick that person instead of me. It’s also not that selective compared to LEDA, as 33% make it, so those people who get rejected probably make too much, or don’t have good enough grades or scores, it won’t be a close thing where I ruin someone’s chances, just by applying.

Anyway, did anyone get a date for when interviews would be?

nope

I haven’t gotten any information either.

the wait is killing me

If decisions come out April, I’m thinking that we will get notified within the next week, as I am sure they will need to take a good amount of time to schedule with, and interview, all of us.

I wonder how many people they interview. I’m betting that it probably isn’t more than 200. That would be a lot of interviews.

From previous threads, I heard that they do not interview many people. For example, they might possibly interview 120 scholars, and pick 100 from there. One of the older threads stated that not too many people get eliminated during that phase.

Also, are there any west coast scholars? Like Washington, California, Oregon, etc.

I’m from Central California.

Have you read the past threads? People on there say that not many people get eliminated afterwards @shanabanana1

I only read the ones from last year. However, we can’t be certain that they’re doing things the same way this year as they did last year.

Has anyone received info on when they are having an interview? This wait is killing me

nope, I’m so impatient and eager.
