AP Biology
AP Latin 5

Sports: JV Soccer (1) V Football (2,3,4) V Sailing (1,2,3,4)

Clubs: Lit. Journal Editor (2,3,4); School Newspaper Contributor (1,2) Editor (3,4); Latin Club (1,2,3,4) TV Club (2,3,4); Weightlifting Club Founding Member (2,3,4); Physics Cult (3,4); Chess Club (1,2,3,4)

Outside: Local Ski Team (1,2,3,4); 150 hours of comm Service, Eagle Scout

Employment: Caddy (80 hours); Mass. General Hospital/Harvard Medical School Molecular Neurogenetics Lab (800 hours over 3 summers) (contributed to work on HD)

My GPA is weighted because of honors courses, and my family has not contributed anything substantial, so I am not sure what kind of chance I stand against the genuinely intense applicants.

excuse the smily; I am not sure what strange combination of keys gave birth to that creature

Sorry guys, I somehow forgot NHS, and that is for Junior and Senior year...

Yet another thing to add, I am not sure how I pulled this off considering I had a debate this past weekend. I have been debating since the 9th grade and have placed in the novice division of one debate and the advanced division of three debates.

Your employment is awesome but to be honest it's just too early to know. Wait until next year and then start asking what are your chances - you have too few concrete stats (like more AP test scores and official SAT results).

Yeah. That is my big problem... it is all up to this intense spring. (Possible May SAT if I get below 2200, 2 SAT IIs, and 3 AP tests.)

In an attempt to keep this thread alive: how much does harvard legacy help for someone like me?

I'll revive it Repe... How much does harvard legacy help for someone like him?

Harvard rejects about 60% of legacies. Keep in mind the legacies are a highly qualified group. Most have the benefit of high IQs, good schools and intellectual environment. Being a legacy will bump you in over an equal non legacy candidate.

With good SATs and class rank (top 5%), you may well get that bump.

i guess this post doesnt need to be up anymore because i got in. anyone know if there is a way to delete posts?

What were your final stats Repe?

: ( = :(
(no space)

good job on getting into america's #1 most competitive university!

Did you do as well as you thought on the SATs?

Congrats! :)
