My academics are not as strong as other applicants. My gpa is a 3.44 and my act is a 28. I toured and interviewed on campus and I thought it went very very well! I have also recently attended a Smith alumni club meeting to talk to some of the recent grads. The head of the club then wrote me a nice letter of recommendation! My legacy includes my grandmother, aunt, and cousin. Will that help my low gpa?
I feel that the admissions office will focus on your interview and your recommendations more than your GPA. If you have nice recommendations, I am sure that the admissions officers will reconsider your low GPA.
