I am an out of state applicant and my mom went to UVa law. I was wondering how UVa considers legacy applicants I've heard rumors that they are put in the in state applicant pool.

That’s what the UVA rep who visited my school told me.

do you know if that goes for say W&M or other Va state schools.

You are not a Virginia resident. We review legacy applications in a manner similar to the Virginia applications, but you will not be getting the tuition break that Virginia residents do.

yes i assumed that was true, i was just wondering if legacies were put in the instate applicant pool because admission is easier than the oos.
