legit C-

sigh sigh sigh... I post this yet again.

So do you think a C- on the final grade can ruin a chance for a prestigious LAC?

It's not for an art class, not a small elective, but for a legitimate AP academic subject.
(It did NOT affect my overall GPA, and I really don't know how.)

Anyways, would the adcoms think
"hm, this girl definitely slacked off.. we should defer her to see further grades." OR
"umm, C-? Are you kidding? Does she realize the rigor our curriculum? REJECT!!!!!!" OR
"math is clearly not her strength, other stuff is great, let's overlook this"

please, please, please tell me - should I withdraw my application?
If this C- is going to hunt me to death and lead me to rejection, I am going to look for another choice of college.

One C- isn't going to kill your chances, especially if your other grades are strong. Obviously it's not great, but don't worry about it, just keep working hard for good grades this year. My guess would be either choice 1 or 3, you aren't going to get rejected for one bad math grade.

Just be sure to explain what caused it in your app.

It shouldn't be too big a deal, but I'd still apply anyway - even if you're afraid of not being accepted. Just because it may "lead [you] to rejection" doesn't mean you shouldn't apply anyway. Best of luck =)
