Lehigh Calc Pof wins kudos

If any of you have the opportunity to take Dr. Yukich's class, do it! I sat in on his Calc 3 class and it was the most wonderful math lecture of my entire life. He is so close to his students and loves math so much! I am so glad to read of this honor.

@mumof2boyz,
Most of my freshmen and upperclassmen friends have told me that Prof Yukich is one of the best professors at Lehigh. Personally, I never had class with him. I had Prof. Napier for both Calc I and Calc II, and I love him. But from what I’ve heard they’re both really good. Unfortunately, Prof. Yukich is not giving Calc 3 class next semester. So I’m not sure if I’ll ever have a chance to attend his class. But yeah, he’s definitely one of the best professors out there.

Thanks for posting this article for prospective students to look at, mumof2boyz.

I saw this in the Brown and White and was really excited for Professor Yukich - he seemed really humble about this temendous honor, and I can tell he genuinely loves his job and enjoys teaching. I didn’t know that he went to MIT - he’s really top-notch.

I had him for one substitute lecture in Calc III last semester. We were talking about Gauss’s Law and he started giving us a sort of history lesson about the guy. Then he drew the Gaussian Curve function (the bell curve) on the board and told us he was making an IQ graph. Then he started labeling it.

He inserted Lehigh at the far right (high IQ) of the bell curve - and put Lafayette on the far left! It was the funniest math moment I’ll probably ever have here at Lehigh.

Best,
