I love reading everyones conversations in the other c/o 2017 thread, but I think it would be nice to have a separate thread for people to solely at accepted/deferred/rejects students' statistics without weeding though pages of conversation.

Reflection[ul]
[] Strengths: Strong EC’s, Average (for Lehigh) test scores
[] Weaknesses: GPA
[] Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: I’m convinced it was because I showed an obscene amount of interest in the school. I fell in love with Lehigh after I attended the Diversity Achievers Program. I also visited (and checked in at admissions) four times. And I email the dean of admissions to say thank you for the DAP program.
[li] Where else were you accepted/waitlisted/rejected: I was deferred from Northeastern and Case Western Reserve University. [/li]I was accepted to Tulane, Quinnipiac (Neuroscience - 18k merit scholarship), Siena College (Undecided sciences), Lewis and Clark, Indiana Unversity at Bloomington (Applied to Kelley) and Purdue University- West Lafayette (Biomedical engineering)
I fortunately wasn’t rejected anywhere but I did apply to other schools including Rutgers- New Brunswick, University of South Carolina, Mount Holyoke (recruited athlete), Muhlenberg, SUNY Binghamton and Union.

[/ul]
General Comments: I’m over the moon that I got in. Honestly, I was expecting a deferral or rejection because of my significantly lower than Lehigh average GPA. My schools Naviance has the average GPA as a 3.96.
I believe that it’s healthy to have a reach school and to set your goals high. I think college admissions are almost a crapshoot at some point, so if you’re below the average scores or GPA, it can’t hurt you to apply.
I can’t wait to see everyone in 2013 and If anyone wants to become friends before we even get there, feel free to message me here for my fb or twitter!

I don’t know why I didn’t get in… Must have messed up somewhere

congrats all especially Lehigh2017. I told you that you would get in. Hopefully I join you all as well in march

Justseeinmychance

I believe “deferred” still gives you a good chance to get in during the 2nd round. Usually it means your scores are acceptable but you didn’t show enough interest or you needed too much financial aid at this time. Go visit and then visit again!

The financial aid office at Lehigh is completely separate from admissions. So admissions doesn’t care about how much aid you need.

Accepted! :)
