Yeah you can definitely visit in january. Im visiting the week of the 7th and my admissions counselor wanted to set me up a meeting with the IBE director so Im pretty sure my application will definitely be affected. I guess it really depends on when you visit

I just heard that we may have to wait until late next week for decisions… I can’t do it!

Where did you hear that??

Yeah I contacted admissions and they said that it’d be sent out early next week:(

I CAN’T WAIT EITHER!!! All my friends are hearing from their schools and it’s driving me crazy!!!

P.S. Does that mean that MAIL gets sent out early next week or EMAIL? Or maybe email get outs earlier??

I think it means mail gets sent early next week but email would be on the same day. And my friends are hearing back this week, too! Several are hearing back today and several already committed somewhere! Bah!

@retro - I heard it from my adcom at Lehigh. She said she can’t give an exact date because they don’t have one yet but it won’t be this week :(

Why is Lehigh doing this to us!?

That’s exactly how I feel.

I’m getting so nervous because several of my friends have been rejected from other schools:/ Gah this is too much.

Everyone realizes that this is either going to be the best or worst winter break right? Can you say wallow in your sorrows?

I want to not have to go on CC like 50 times a day anymore! I wish they’d just end my pain. And yes, either my favorite Christmas or my least favorite… Please Lehigh, don’t do this to me!

Pfft what are you going to do when you don’t come on CC anymore? It’ll be like withdraw symptoms!

And I know right! It’s not even like we have that much in between time. We’ll get the letters then boom three days later it’s Christmas:/

Look on the bright side though, at least we have a break coming up!!

That’s true and yeah, when I stop coming to CC I’ll probably start having time to do my homework! That’ll be weird…

You’ll probably still come back, it’s so addictive.
That’s like after we get into college, what are we going to do with all this college application knowledge!!

Pfft homework, what’s that? Yesterday I had a huge assignment but obviously CC had a higher priority:P

I had a test today that I didn’t study for because you, waitingdad, and I were having a good conversation! My priorities are perfect…

My friend just got into UPenn today so now I’m jealous haha! I was thinking about what would happen if I get rejected from Lehigh. I have like 5 pieces of Lehigh clothes, a penant in my room, a window decal on my car, a lanyard, a key chain… My god…

Obviously talking to us is more important!

And EXACTLY! I’m wearing my Lehigh sweatshirt now, but it will be terrible. Aside from the fact of not getting in, a majority of my notebooks/folders are from Lehigh haha talk about a constant reminder?
Oh and everyone knows I’m applying ED so it will be so awkward when people ask :/

NO NO NO we have to stay optimistic about this;) If I don’t get into BioE do I get into the rest of Lehigh?

Yeah everyone knows I’m EDing to Lehigh, too! I think I’ll be accepted, I am just also very realistic, which sucks!

I was wondering the same thing about my major - since PC Rossin is harder to get into then, say, the college of arts and sciences, I’m hoping that I can still be accepted to the latter if I get rejected from the former. That would be bittersweet, but at least I would be accepted!

Yeah I think I’ll get in too but it’s just the waiting and not knowing which is a killer.

And you’d still be at Lehigh, and maybe there would be a reason you wouldn’t be accepted. Some path fate has for you:P

I feel like once(if) I’m accepted, I’m going to stop trying in school because I just want to get to Lehigh!!

Yeah I have a bad feeling that I may do the same thing! But then again, I’ve never gotten a “bad” grade as a final marking period grade before, so I think is still try “hard enough.”

Have you noticed there are significantly fewer people on this thread this year then there were last year? And the year before? Do you think Lehigh had less ED applicants or are they just not CC-crazed?

Hahaha I think you’re hoping that there are less ED applicants:P Yeah I’m not sure, I think it’s more that people want to know if they’ve been accepted first. Maybe it’ll get busier after that? I think it’s CC related, unfortunately.

And same, I always secretly wish that I’d be able to slack but I think it’d be physically impossible to just stop working. Although my last quarter is a joke because all my ap classes have already ended.

Oh yeah you’re one of the block scheduling schools right? I think my HS is the only one in our county that still doesn’t have block scheduling!

Yeah I do, but I absolutely love it. In middle school we had 50 minute classes and I just think this is so much better(:

What I don’t understand is how people in college can claim they have “no time”, meanwhile they only have 5-6 classes a week. It’s like college students forget going to school for 6 hours everyday in high school!

Yeah right! I can’t imagine having more work than I do now. But then again, I honestly thought grammar school was hard when we’d have 5 addition problems for homework.

And I’m actually in favor of block scheduling! I wish we had that… I have my 6 AP classes each day, every day, all year.

I heard, though, that Lehigh’s freshman year courses for engineers aren’t horrible - difficult and time consuming, sure, but they’re at least not weed out courses!
