Length of Statement

How long? 500ish words?

that's also what I want to know~
typical response should be like max 500~?
Not sure...

Also, I want to write about how me and some friends took off to Chicago one day (I live like 6 hours away) without telling our parents and that's how I discovered Northwestern. It kinda fits the question. And I'm gonna talk about the specific qualities about northwestern too. So, do you think it's appropriate to include the story?

They suggested keep it 500 words this year apparently, but I missed the memo. Mine was 750?

I don't know if they'd like to read that you took off without telling your parents lol, I could be wrong, but your parents would be funding your tuition if you attend-- and paying NU. Sounds interesting though.

bank: so you already got in w/ a 750 word essay?

and it wasn't a "problem child doing meth" kind of leaving for chicago. it was more like "I've got nothin to do today, I'm goin to Chicago" kind of deal.

my parents weren't that mad.

An NU rep came to my school, and she said approximately 500 words was fine. So, I'd assume that means anywhere from 400 - 600 words is fine (750 could work, but that's probably the absolute max you want to go).

^^ yes, I did. But it was actually really condensed.... In my defense, I guess I had alot to say. lol

In that case, it'd definately show interest. I'd maybe slide that discovery of NU in there, it's original.
