<p>so...ive got two essays. one's 600 words flat and the other is 675. these would be say for the common app, which only says "minimum 250" and another supplement which has no explicit restrictions on it. I know a bunch of colleges say we'd like it to be 250-500 on some apps, but ive also heard that if its over the advised limit and still provides meaningful information, its ok. So...now what? Heh, please help me out, I've been trying to cut down the longer essay, but have only managed 9 words in the last hour. Thanks so much.</p>
<p>Try giving it to someone else, a friend or parent or a teacher, if they're willing and are good writers and editors themselves. They'll be able to possibly see where you can cut things.</p>
