My daughter was accepted into the school of Gerontology does anyone know anything about this school? Also is it easy to transfer within the schools as long as you keep up your GPA?

LOOL! when i first saw this, i was pretty excited! because i was also accepted to this school as well this year- and it’s pretty rare to see anyone go into gerontology! anyways, i do know that USC has one of the best, if not THE best school for gerontology- like if you want to make a difference in regards to aging, USC’s the place to be at. in all the schools that i researched, USC could only give me what i needed- a science based program + one that would let me follow a non science based program if i wanted to - & currently it’s the only school that i know of that will potentially allow you to finish your masters degree in gerontology within 1 year of your bachelor’s degree…

so i have to say it’s like probably the best school for gerontology with all its research opportunities & academic opportunities! but gerontology is also a very small major- last year only about 40 or so students went into that school. but i see the davis school as a good place to go to if you have a career goal of doing something medically based with the elderly, like geriatrics.

& i don’t know about transferring… sorry =/
