lets talk tattoos

For me personally, it is important to me to affirm that I think law students should be able to get tatoos.

I hesitated on tatoos in part because I thought temporary tatoos would be sufficient.

I’ve talked to my children, and they don’t understand why people with tatoos would be treated differently.

It doesn’t make sense to them and frankly, that’s the kind of thing that prompts a change in perspective.

I would (1) not wear a short sleeved shirt, and (2) not let people know that my internet handle was fijeeboi, because many people are offended by such blatant a sexual reference in an internet handle.

Xavi, the original post was made 4 1/2 years ago and the individual who posted hasn’t been active here on CC for 3 years. I don’t imagine he will see, or need, your advice today. :)

The topic of tattoos has been covered on CC multiple times through the years. My advice remains the same that I gave in this thread years ago. Unless you’re covered head to tow, or have sleeves of tattoos, you are unlikely to have an issue, as a lawyer. I could probably think of a hundred lawyers I know with tattoos, in all types of practices and positions, including my D who is currently clerking for a Federal Judge. It’s not an issue for any of those whom I know, nor the people with whom they work.

@alwaysamom: I agree, I’d just cover it up. lol

I just couldn’t believe that outlandish handle.

Also a lot of people who get tats have a deep meaning behind them
