<p>I am currently a high school sophmore and I recently received an email from West Point that said "You owe it to yourself to consider going to school at West Point." Does this mean that they are already interested in me or am I part of a mailing list?</p>

<p>You have probably come to the attention of many Admissions Depts. due to test scores on PSAT/SAT/ACT. Many colleges will begin to reach out to qualified, potential applicants as early as sophomore year. </p>
<p>At this stage of the game, you may want to investigate a wide variety of college options, including service academies. Many current and former cadets/midshipmen and alumni started just like this by receiving a brochure.</p>
