letter from ILR

I got a letter from director of admissions at ILR.

It basically gives like a general information about the school and it's signed at the bottom by the director of admissions. I also got a postcard that i can send back if i want more information on ILR.
Did anyone else get this sort of thing?
I'm just curious, because a month ago, i asked cornell admissions to send me an information package, and when i had to check off which colleges i was interested in, i checked off hotel school and cals (i didn't even know what ILR was back then).

I just find it odd how i got a letter from ILR but nothing from hotel school or cals, which is what i acutally requested for.

And for anyone else that requested for information in the summer, did you get yours? Because i called and emailed the admissions a couple of times, but still nothing for a month (other than the ILR letter).

Yeah, I was never interested in ILR but when I applied for everything from HumEc i still got random ILR stuff just as often.

accept100: I think on the request information form you also checked ILR.

I checked ILR, CALS, and A&S, and so far, I've only received letter from ILR.

why do you think ILR sends info to so many students?

ILR is a unique program...they try to attract students who might be interested in generic government/political science, economics, history, psychology majors...

i know i was sold by their literature...
