^ No these notes were given to EA admits.

Oh never mind.
When brendanww said everyone gets it, It kinda threw me off, lol
Thanks brendanww . . . ;)

^ ah...my apologies. I thought you were asking if all admits received the note.

Ahaha, aww that's really nice. At least there's some personal feedback for all the admits

Wait so everyone gets one of these who was admitted? Because I was starting to feel a bit left out. Although, I'm away from home right now (visiting Stanford no less :D) and won't get back until Tuesday evening, so I guess I have to wait for mine (if indeed it is true that everyone gets one). Sigh.

my ears are ringing!!!

I think that it is a wonderful gesture for Stanford to send these out.

Mine said:

"P.S. (My name), your life experiences, love of the arts, and your enormous talent are so impressive. I hope that Stanford is lucky enough to have you attend this fall. Hope to meet you during Admit Weekend!"

mines sorta impersonal compared to some of yours..

"Most impressive ________, loved reading about your demonstrated interest in psychology. Very interesting stuff. You have so much to offer Stanford and would thrive here."

mine says:

Ps. The leadership and personal strength you showed in your application were truly compelling. Thank you for sharing you enxperience in your personal essay -- "
[quote from my common app essay]
" I hope you will bring that amazing voice to Stanford.

I guess essays do count for something!

Karen Ransom is my regional director. I remember her from the admissions session I attended in DC before applying. She says:

"(My name)! I loved your 'Why Stanford' essay about Candace and Candice. Pack up your basketball and computer passion and come to Stanford to fulfill these passions and more! I look forward to meeting you soon!"

Pretty sweet :) I love the personal touch <3

Karen was mine too!!!
<3!

Daaaang, those are nice.

Now half the reason I want to get in is to get this personalized letter.

Mine talked about my math contributions to my school (not just math team). Also, my adcom didn't tell me to come or anything, just that he looked forward to meeting me on admit student weekend.

I got mine!!

It says:
"I must admit i am pretty curious to see your interpretations of carrots and radishes-perhaps a game of vegetable off is in the cards at admit weekend? Either way, we are so excited to have you here! I think you'll really enjoy all the varied language and abroad opportunities. Come and see for yourself!"

Lol this might not make sense for anyone here, so to elaborate, in my "letter to a roommate" essay, I talked in part about when I went to Japan, my group leader had us play a game called "vegetable off" to break the ice where we duel by seeing who can act out a vegetable the best, with sounds and motion :D lol

Also, the overall theme of my app was that of languages, etc hence the mentioning of abroad opportunities.

Sniff

I want a nice personal note with an acceptance letter... Deferral form letters are just not the same.

Sniff

^ditto shayon, let's hope for the best in the RD pool. man i wanna go to stanford sooooo badly it hurts.

Mollie Weinstein-Gould is my regional admission officer. My message goes:

P.S. Your impact and contributions with your website is truly outstanding. You note in one of your essays that you want to dedicate your life to discovering something that can give meaning to your entirety. I have no doubt you will ultimately find that, and I hope that Stanford is lucky enough to be the place where you start this exploration. Please don’t hesitate to be in touch.

Okay, so you guys got in.
im in the 10th grade

Crap lol

We are thrilled to accept you and are looking forward to your contributions to our diversity here on the farm!

PS-Rest assured that we did not make a mistake, despite your assertions on college confidential!

Owned. I always suspected they might be on here.

Fsch, they seriously said that about College Confidential?
