I just got a letter from adcom inviting me to admit weekend, but my local admissions counselor wrote a little note at the bottom responding to my essays and saying how he thinks I'd be a good fit at the Hoover Institute.

One way or the other, I'm flattered by the nod, but did everyone get something like this? I'm wondering if it's indicative of the attentiveness of my admissions counselor or the thoughtfulness of the institution as a whole.

My S got one today with a personalized note at the bottom too. It was a nice touch and he can’t wait for AW.

I got one too. Just their little way of going above and beyond. I loved it.

We got them for EA. I got two! I don’t know why; it may have been a QB thing.

Yeah, I got a little personalized note at the bottom as well.

We’ve received a steady stream of personalized attention since SCEA acceptance: handwritten notes, holiday and birthday cards, emails from heads of several departments initiating dialogue, roll-outs, numerous phone calls, et al…Stanford really knows how to show the love!

Stanford’s Operation Protect-Our-Yield :)

Absolutely–and it worked! ; )
