I recently got rejected from the UCs and they have been my dream schools since I was a child. I have seen many letters of appeal online and so I want to write one. Since I turned in my application, I started volunteering at a firm, i helped assist a real estate agent, and one of my classes became an honors class. Is there any tips or advices anyone has?
For an appeal to have merit, you need to show admissions that you are stronger applicant than your UC application originally had shown.
is there any specific way i can do that? like i have been talking to a few different people and i keep hearing different things so i just keep getting more and more confused.
How can i show that i am a stronger applicant than before
For Which school(s) are you filing the appeal? Each school can have a different appeal process and require different criteria.
UCSD, UCB, UCSD, SDSU, UCLA
I know its a reach but i have nothing to lose and i have some good and new things that i can mention i just dont know how to start or what to do
What is the basis of your appeal? If it is too personal, you can PM me the information.
You also want to show each school that you would an asset to the campus community so I think you should select a couple of schools and focus on them instead of all 5. I hate the word “dream” school but which school is your top choice?
What schools were you admitted? Intended major?
