<p>Did anyone else applying RD get an e-mail informing them that applicants can also have their credentials forwarded for consideration to Oxford College, where they can spend their first two years, and then transfer into Emory?</p>
<p>Is this sent to everyone, or was my son's application singled out for some reason?</p>
<p>My son applied ED II. Received the same letter. We threw it out - he had no interest. I believe it is to make all applicants aware of the other options.</p>
<p>I got the letter too, but it never said anything about fowarding credentials to Oxford. It just said that I should consider oxford and that it has a separate application.</p>

<p>yeah, I got the letter too, I guess they have a shortage of Oxford applicants and an abundance of College applicants, oh well I'm probably sticking with College.</p>
<p>Oxford is easier to get into. So Emory is just making applicants aware of this option. Almost like transferring from a 2 year program to Emory -with a good guarantee of getting into Emory junior year. Neither school has anything to lose with this kind of marketing.</p>
<p>My S is at Emory now. They did the same thing last year. I called somebody at Oxford and they said that it was sent to everybody.</p>
