So i transfered to UMich and was in the B-school at my former school. I am a polisci/econ major in LSA right now but figured i would apply to the B-school anyways and give it a shot (very small chance even though my gpa was 3.8+ at former school). I figure i have about a 15/900 chance of getting the 15 spots they usually have open for transfers so what the hell.

but would it hurt me if i have a professor from my Honors Marketing 5600 B-school class write a letter of recommendation displaying my work ethic? I got an A in her class and she is a very well respected in the business community - used to run the marketing division for Johnson&Johnson, GE and other corps; Her husband is CEO of another fortune 500 company. I am not trying to get the name as a backer but she actually does know me well on both a professional and personal level and can give an adequate explanation of my work ethic.

Would this be beneficial at all even though it doesn't say letters of rec are needed for inter-college transfer? it doesnt say they are needed nor does it say dont send them -

Thanks for the input.
