Letter of recommendation advice

I’m a sophomore physics major and I’m going to be applying for a couple of URE/internships for this Summer. My question is about the letters of recommendation: would it be better to ask a professor outside of my major who knows me pretty well or to ask one of my physics/math professors ? The reason I’m asking is that I had the opportunity to take an introduction to scientific writing course for a lower division writing credit, but it was through the integrative physiology department(I was still able to write my research papers about physics research however). That class was very small and our professor required us to meet with her individually at least 4 times throughout the semester. I feel as though she knows me, and my work, better then my physics professors where I am one tiny human amongst a class of 300. Will it hurt my chances to ask her even though she works in the integrative physiology department?
