Letter of Recommendation from Freshman Year Teacher?

Hi!
I have two teachers for a letter of recommendation in mind. One of them is my English teacher from junior year and the other one of is my freshman year biology teacher. A lot of schools say that junior/senior year teachers are ideal, but I’ve maintained a good relationship with this biology teacher. I’ve been an officer in the club that she advises for three years, and she’s been able to see me develop as a leader and as a person, but not as much academically. She knows that I’m a hard-working person and dedicated to getting things done, but I haven’t been in her class for a few years. Technically, next year, I will be in her class, but only as a student aid. Biology is my intended major, so should I ask this teacher for her letter?
My other option is to ask my AP Biology teacher from junior year, but our relationship isn’t as good, although she’s seen me more recently in her class. I probably only really stuck out to this teacher when we started doing remote learning and I showed up to every single session when nobody else was there (LOL). However, unlike my freshman year teacher, she has had me in her classroom recently and can talk about my presence in the classroom in more detail.

I guess the ultimate question of this is: should letters of rec come from teachers that know you better personally or academically?

Which teacher should I ask? Any feedback is appreciated! Thanks!
