I’m a junior and for next year, I really want to try and get a letter of recommendation from my current Spanish teacher, though my parents advise against it. Guidance counselors said that one should get a letter of recommendation from an english or history teacher and a math or science teacher, but they never mentioned a language teacher. Although, I don’t think my english teacher likes me and my history teacher only has one junior year class and the rest are sophomore classes, so I don’t think she’d do a good job in writing a letter of recommendation. But I can tell that my spanish teacher likes me very much and thinks I work hard.
Does it matter if I have an english teacher LOR vs a spanish one?
