On the common app, how do the letters of recommendation work? When I assign a teacher to a school, does it only upload the letter for that school, or does it send to all schools?

This is what I learned from the Rec portion of the Common App. When you identify a recommender, they get an email with a link that walks them through how to upload the letter. They only have to upload it once for all the schools you identify them for, and only those schools will get their letter. Someone correct me if I am wrong.
