Does being in Letter and Sciences put me at a disadvantage?
When will I be allowed to declare a major or apply to a LEP?
Does this mean I'll have more freedom my Junior and Senior years because I'll have completed my CORE classes early?
Will it limit me from applying to minors and such?

Sorry, I have a lot of questions and aren't sure if I should be happy or disappointed!
Thanks for any help!

L&S doesn’t limit you in any way EXCEPT that you have to apply to be accepted into LEP programs (you don’t have to apply to be accepted into any other major, and you can declare that whenever you want).

You will generally not be behind, since most people spend their first year completing CORE and doing very basic requirements for their major (sometimes, the very basic classes in LEP majors are open for those planning to declare the major, not just for people who have already declared it).

The problem is that to get into certain LEPS, you may have to get certain grades in entry requirements (ex. to get into the government school, you’ll need to take a couple GVPT classes and econ classes, if I recall). So, you have to decide what LEP you want to apply to, and make sure you look into the process to applying specific for that LEP (different programs have different requirements).

Some schools are easier to get into than others - some are difficult and you will have to get quite good grades.
