any idea when financial aid info might be sent?

I just got an e-mail from macalester concerning intls:

"Thank you for your e-mail. International decisions will be e-mailed the
first week of April with a letter to follow in the post."

Don't you just love to wait?

I didn't get that email -- maybe that means I'm considered a domestic applicant for notification purposes since I live in the US? I'm so confused about this.

Meh, don't worry, I sent them an email asking them on the 3rd of March. They just sent me this reply today.

My son got the Yes Mac letter yesterday! High test scores, high grades, great ECs, recs and essays. And he'd be really happy at Mac!

So, my son hasn’t gotten an acceptance letter yet, but did get a letter today with the information about how to sign in toe “MacForum.” The letter includes the following phrases: “It’s a forum exclusively for use by students offered admission to Macalester.” “To log on, go to www.macalester.edu/congrats,” and “I hope you enjoy poking around MacForum with Macalester students and other admitted students.”

I’m taking this to mean that the letters got here out of order, don’t you think?

i think so, trr1. i got my macforum letter today and my acceptance letter a few days ago. that's probably what happened. oh that jumbled mail service lol

Meh, denied. Oh well, it makes the final decision that much easier I guess.

I didn't get any mail today -- not even bills, advertisements, or magazines. I don't think that's ever happened before.

cameliasinensis

I know what you mean. I can't think when I've ever felt so impatient for results, partly just to know my son's choices, partly to be able to plan ahead for revisits or whatever.

TheBUSE

That's a good way to look at it. You can only choose one lucky college in the end.

why they dont send e-mails to the internationals, waiting makes me so nervous...

by the way if they send the mails on friday with FedEx, and if it is an acceptance letter, it would be in my hand on mnday or tuesday. but if it is not...

good luck to everyone

stop it orangepenguin! :)
