Just kidding lulusmom2, I just read your previous post that mentioned when your daughter auditioned!

My d auditioned Feb 5th. She has a friend who auditioned before her and as far as I know he hasn’t heard anything yet. Which made her feel horrible today because she did. I know how hard this waiting game is on all of you, but as I told my d and her friends, you will end up exactly where you are meant to be. Let the beauty you love be what you do… One of my favorite poem quotes and so true. Your passion will be your compass, you just have to have faith.

S#1 got acceptance call today. Auditioned in LA 2/12.

Thank you for your encouraging words lulusmom2!

Geofio, I also encourage you to hang in there and keep the faith. I’m sure they have not finished making calls because they still have more auditions this weekend.

Thanks tracyvp! I really appreciate your support (:

@Lulusmom2…love those words…“Let your passion be your compass”…superbly said! Will definitely share that in the weeks ahead!

Thank you, momofstar. :)

My friend got his acceptance today. I haven’t heard anything, so I’m worried. But thanks for the inspiring words above! ^^^

So so so… I just checked my phone and I missed a phone call from a New York number yesterday… SLIGHTLY freaking out! I think it’s from Pace. Should I call tomorrow even though it’s a weekend? Or wait until Monday? OR wait for them to call me again?

Sorry for the spam. I just called back and got directed to their admissions office, but their voicemail inbox is full so I can’t leave a message.

That sounds positive, jenn!! I would send an email to Pat Woodward and let her know you missed a call and was wondering what it was in reference to; she is very quick to answer her emails in our experience. Wishing good luck to you!!

But I’m confused because the voicemail box didn’t belong to her. It was someone (who sounded male) in admissions… Should I still e-mail Pat Woodward though?

And thanks for the encouragement, lulusmom2! :)

Jennifer, you sound so much like me you could be my daughter! I am EXACTLY the same type of “get the info NOW” personality!

Did they leave you a voicemail asking you to call them back? If not, then as difficult as it is, I think you should wait and let them call you again. I promise, if it’s an acceptance, Amy Rogers will not skip over you and move on to the next person just because you didn’t answer your phone. If she wants you, she’ll keep calling!

My D has received a couple of phone calls from the admission people at Pace in the last few months, just asking if she has any questions, etc. and encouraging her to apply. (She had already applied in September!). These calls were from students paid to call anyone who had ever expressed an interest in the school and try to get them to submit an application. We’ve had them from other schools, also. I think sometimes it’s a case of the right hand not knowing what the left is doing.

It shouldn’t be long now, until we all start getting notifications. Just hang in there and know that you WILL end up wherever you’re supposed to be!

Does anyone know if they wait for academic acceptances to be sent out before they make decision calls/emails for auditions?

For those of you (or your children) who have already received calls or emails with acceptances into mt, acting or cd, when did you receive your pace academic acceptance packet?

tracyvp - YES, that’s so me! Especially since I’m just freaking out about college in general right now.

So, you think I should just wait it out? I don’t wanna embarrass myself in front of Patricia Woodward over an e-mail. x: I just think it’s weird that I got the phone call on the same day everyone is receiving acceptance phone calls. I hope it’s just not a coincidence, because that’s what it feels like. :(

But, gotta try to stay positive, I guess!

geofio - I think it’s different for everyone. I’ve heard of some people getting their academic acceptance or rejections before their AUDITIONS, even, and then I think everyone getting acceptances right now, it’s just from the musical theatre department.

@Jenniferdances okay thank you! & best of luck with your phone call situation! (:

@Jennifer, what I think you SHOULD do and what I would do are probably not the same thing! :)

If it were me, I would probably call the administrative assistant (not Pat, but the other gal listed on the website) and say something like,

“I have a missed a call from Pace University but they didn’t leave a message, and since I know calls are going out about MT acceptances, of course it made me kind of anxious. Can you tell me if by any chance the call came from your office?”

That way it’s not like you’re begging her for a decision, and the option is hers whether to check for you.
