Letters of acceptance/rejection

When Rhonda emailed she specification said early notification of acceptance into the program was only permitted because my d had already been academically accepted.

Now I am curious. We were at Wagner today for auditions, and in talking to some other people, those that got rejected to MT got an email or letter. My d was accepted into CD, should she have gotten a rejection from MT? Or does this mean it’s possible they are still considering her for that too?

I am under the impression that the two are completely independent. I think your D may still hear from MT .

Lulusmom2 wait people have been rejected from pace MT already? Did they get a letter or email?

Geo, one of my d’s friends got a rejection email from MT on Saturday. I imagine he will get a follow up paper rejection. I’m thinking those that heard nothing are still under consideration. One thing they were adamant about was that no one would hear about their decision until the admissions office made a decision on their academic acceptance. So even if they want you for MT they won’t tell you until you’re academically accepted is my understanding of the process…
And Tracy, I am wondering the same thing. She didn’t get any rejection emails from MT or letters, just the acceptance for CD. I guess time will tell!

Okay thanks! I got my academic acceptance about 2 weeks ago so hopefully that means I’m still being considered!

Acceptance phone calls for MT started going out last week and will be made through this week.

Rejections come in the form of a letter that will be sent out this week.

Until a student is academically accepted they will not be notified as to whether they are accepted or rejected from any of the performing arts majors.

Wow, that was much earlier than we had been told at auditions! Thank you so much for keeping us all informed. It will be nice to know one way or the other. Will you post back here once all the calls have been made? That would be really helpful as well.

We know two (boy and a girl) who received MT acceptance calls today.

The MT spots seem to be filling up…

Another girl got a call. News travels fast on facebook.

Yes, it’s so much more stressful when it’s drawn out over several days like this. Much easier on the nerves to get it over with fast like they did last year! Between CC and Facebook we keep hearing of people getting accepted to all the various schools D is still waiting on. Sometimes too much information is worse than none at all! Ignorance is bliss!

I haven’t gotten anything at all, but the whole you-need-to-get-academic-acceptance-before-you-get-accepted-into-musical-theatre would make the missed call from admissions make a little sense, especially since I barely sent in my transcript a couple weeks ago because of my school’s semester system. Or at least I hope so. Gah. I might take @tracyvp’s advice and might try to call someone over at Pace, but I just hope all things that I receive from Pace from now on are all good things!

BRbway thank you so much for keeping us updated!
Pace has been the most supportive and forthcoming of all of the colleges we have dealt with, which made my D’s decision to accept their admission easy. I am very comfortable with her choice, and know that she will be in good hands when I bring her there in the Fall… But even only being 45 minutes away in NJ, I am gpnna miss her. That is starting to sink in, lol

My D received her phone call from Amy Rogers this morning at around 9:15 California time. She’s about over the moon, I’ve got to say! Keeping a good thought for more good news for our wonder CC kids!

Hooray Tracy!!! So happy for your D!!!

My D just received her call from Amy Rogers and is very excited! She has been accepted to the Acting program there as well, so hard decisions ahead of her. Best of luck to all who are waiting to hear!

Congrats to everyone who just got calls!

Congrats, everyone!!

My daughter got a call today. She is thrilled. GLTA!

Thanks and congrats NightOwl12! Now the hunt for more scholarship money!
