I know a long time ago, like seven years ago, Berkeley allowed interviewees to submit letters of recommendation during their interviews. Does this still apply to us, or has the practice stopped?

I remember reading somewhere that yes, although I went back today and haven’t been able to find the source. I’m pretty sure it was in an email or letter from them. Bringing them along won’t hurt though.

I also remember seeing that in the “instructions” for the interview but now when I go back through all the emails and links for Regents, I can’t find it anywhere. That’s odd! Does anyone remember how many it said to bring? Are you bringing them in a folder, envelope, what?

Also, looking back over past interview posts, it seems like 1/2 of the guys wore suits and 1/2 wore more business casual, like khakis and polo shirt. What are most of you planning on wearing? DS was going to wear a suit but the past posts of suit wearers were from a LONG time ago when things were maybe more formal and he doesn’t want to be overdressed.

I wish we could find the “original” information that he first received-grrr. How can it just vanish?! Had I known I would have printed it out…

I’m wearing casual. A polo (Cal’s blue navy of course) and some nice dark jeans. I’ve dressed like this for all my Ivy interviews with no problem. I doubt they expect a suit because you’ll also be doing a campus tour, and a lot of people will be staying the night in dorms. Additionally, I really don’t think it go’s along with Cal’s culture.
